ACRO is derived from the Greek word ákros (ἄκρος), meaning the highest point, the top, or the pinnacle.
The concept of “height” embedded in the name ACRO naturally connects to the brand’s identity as a denim label created for tall women. At the same time, it represents the brand’s ambition to move beyond the conventional fits and standard sizing of the existing denim market, setting a new denim standard designed for taller proportions.
The ACRO symbol was created by combining the first two letters of the brand name, A and C. It represents a beam of light shining from a point higher than a classical temple, a symbol of traditional proportion and order.
Originating from above, the light casts a new perspective on established standards, revealing the proportions and elongated silhouettes of tall women that have long remained overlooked within the boundaries of the “average.” The symbol reflects ACRO’s vision of moving beyond conventional denim fits and recognizing tall women’s proportions as a new standard.
ACRO’s signature pattern draws inspiration from the Doric columns of the Parthenon. The columns’ strong vertical structure and repetitive rhythm are reinterpreted through a series of simple lines, expressing the elongated silhouette of tall women and the sense of proportion and order that ACRO pursues.
The ACRO typography rises along the structure of the columns, symbolizing the brand’s ambition to move beyond conventional, average-based standards and propose a new denim standard designed for taller proportions.
